Ingredients
- 8 strips slab bacon
- ¼ cup / 60ml maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F / 200°C, and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Top the baking sheet with a wire rack.
- Place the bacon on the rack and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the bacon is mostly cooked.
- While the bacon is cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and smoked paprika.
- At the 10- to 12-minute mark, pull the bacon out and glaze on one side with the maple syrup mixture. Sprinkle pepper over each strip and cook until the glaze is sticky, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Stick these in your pocket to eat for later.
